-All majors Welcome!!!
EWB-UTSA chapter has been on the University of Texas at San Antonio campus for about five years and is currently working on a project in Viña Vieja, Peru. The Chapter consists of students from multiple disciplines (mechanical, civil, finance, and geology), two mentors, and a Faculty Advisor. (Click here to see who all is involved) The Students in this chapter are involved in design, fundraising, and outreach (with guidance from the Faculty Advisor, two mentors, and College of Engineering-UTSA).
The project has two phases: Phase I is water distribution and Phase II will be structural improvements to the community (i.e. housing). The EWB-UTSA Chapter has visited the community of Viña Vieja multiple times and we have been building a great relationship over the last 2 years. For more information on the progress of the project you can keep up with us on our webpage, Facebook, Twitter (@ewbutsa), or refer to reports submitted for travel approval.
