EWB-UTSA wants to thank the UTSA Parent Council and Family Association on providing an opportunity for the UTSA Family Fund to the students and student organizations.
Recently EWB-UTSA applied for a grant, UTSA Family Fund, in hopes that the Family Association and Parent Council would support our project in Viña Vieja, Peru with a fund of 500. It turns out that they were very supportive of our project! This is a fairly new grant opportunity - so If you have a project that you or a group is working on and may need some support, apply for this UTSA Family Fund. Recently a team of three students and one professor returned to good ole UTSA from an Assessment trip in Viña Vieja, Peru. This assessment trip was very successful in gaining crucial information for the planning of a water system and letting the community know that we are here to help them with what they need. It was a trip that was eight days long with 6 of those days being in the community. Since the return of the trip there has been great progress in the design of the water system since the plan of EWB-UTSA is to have an Implementation trip either at the end of the summer, August, or the end of the year, December.
